We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with the incredible ladies of Can'dAid and help benefit and empower people to get involved in their communities across the country!
What is Can'dAid?
Fueled by people power-- Can’dAid is a nationally recognized nonprofit that rallies volunteers from all walks of life to build thriving communities based on their individual needs. They respond quickly and passionately to help those recover and rebuild in the wake of disasters as well as strive to connect youth to the arts, an active lifestyle, and the outdoors.

How did it start?
In 2013, a devastating flood hit the front range, tearing through areas like Lyons and Longmont, Colorado. The devastation hit home to founder Diana, and within days she had rallied to raise in total, nearly $750K was for local families and small businesses. After the community began to bounce back, Can'dAid became an organization focused on getting people involved in meeting the needs of their own communities.
How they help
Water + Response
When a community is facing unclean drinking water conditions- whether from a hurricane, fires, or faulty pipes- they ship canned water as quickly as possible. With the help of Ball Corporation, Oskar Blues Brewery, and Sleeping Giant Brewing they distribute water to families in need across the country.
To date, 2 million cans of water have been donated throughout the US, including the Navajo Nation and Puerto Rico.
Music + Art
They help cultivate the next generation of musicians and artists through programs that get instruments in kids' hands and eliminate barriers to the arts. They purchase and donate brand new instruments tailored to each school's needs, and team up with local artists to increase access to art and creativity for all.
2,505+ string, brass, and electric instuments have been distributed to classrooms nationwide.
Treads + Trails
With children averaging 7 hours of screen time a day and only 1 in 5 kids receiving the daily recommended amount of exercise, they provide boards and bikes to encourage kids to engage in a healthy active lifestyle and love for the outdoors by playing outside. This program allows volunteers to help build bikes and skateboards for underserved youth.
6,610+ skateboards and bikes have been built to date.
Recycling + Sustainability
Doing what they can to show a little love for Mama Earth through planting trees, cleaning rivers, and recycling nationwide.
To date, the equivalent of more than 73million cans has been recycled and 47 river clean up days have happened.
What have we done?
We use our mobility on the road to show up for communities across the US while being the voice of Can'dAid. We get into a community, link up with volunteers, and supply them with all of the tools to build skateboards and/or bicycles for kiddos. The comradery of people coming together to learn or help teach eachother how to construct a bike or board is energetic and warming. There really is something wonderful that happens to people's hearts and attatudes when they are doing something bigger than thenselves.
After every bike or board is built, we have a partnering school or organization that brings the kids in to suprise them with their own bike/skateboard and helmet. The looks on the kid's faces are moments you will never get tired of experiencing, and what we crave as Candaid employees. Being able to do the work that we know will help someone in a positive way is rewarding, but then getting to see the faces of the person recieving the gift is the whipcream and sprinkles on top.
Once the kids have all gotten their gifts, we have a professional show off their skills on wheels. Not only is this a time to get the kids excited about how cool it is to learn how to ride and do tricks, but it gives all the attention and focus on the importance of safety and overcoming failures by trying again and again until you get what you have practiced for.
More pictures to come.
